EBX3

A high-performance PCIe logging and replaying card for automotive  networks and sensors.

Project Background

EBX3 is a high-performance PCIe logging and replaying card designed to support a wide range of automotive scenarios. EBX3 is based on a modular interface concept. It is designed to combine up to 8 different automotive interfaces accessible via a unified API. The card featuring an FPGA and processor can transport up to 80Gbit/s of capture data to the host system.

embicas team members, former Elektrobit employees, were responsible for the overall system design, development and the customer alignment owning the system responsibility.

Key Use Cases

  • In-vehicle data acquisition – Collect and analyze data from multiple vehicle networks and sensors with high precision.

  • Sensor & ECU development – Enable efficient debugging, testing, and validation of electronic control units and sensor systems.

  • HiL testing – Seamlessly integrate into Hardware-in-the-Loop environments for realistic, repeatable test scenarios.
